Visa®, Mastercard®, and American Express® debit and credit cards can be linked. However, when you dine and pay with a linked debit card, make sure you use it like a credit card to earn cash back. If you use your PIN, the transaction goes directly to your bank and not the credit card companies associated with the program (Visa®, Mastercard®, and American Express®). Your qualified restaurant visits are only identified through credit card transactions, not debit or bank transactions.
Other methods of payment at a participating location, including cash, pre-paid debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) are not eligible for earning cash back.
